“It’s impressive to be here; I’m honoured to launch this 5th leg. It’s a proud and emotional moment”, says Stéphane Ducreau, CEO France of Koni, noting the fatigue the Gazelles are starting to feel. The shock absorber brand is a three-time Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc partner.
The Dutch brand equips the vehicles of both Gazelles and members of the organization: “They are our best ambassadors!”
Leg 5 but the 6th day of competition. On the start line, the experience acquired by the Gazelles over the past days shows in their faces: they are much more confident, they are managing their fatigue, and they are all smiles and excitement as they prepare to face a new leg.
The Gazelles of Team 231 (Celia TAVERRITI CERVERO / Anne-Frédérique RENARD)are all smiles as they share their joy: “We got all our CPs yesterday; we’re so happy, we’re having a great time… And to think we didn’t even know each other two months ago!” In the cab of 182 (Fanette CADOU / Vanessa PAILLET), the Gazelles are determined to give it their all. “We broke our chassis last year; this year we want to finish, to make it all the way to the end”.
