Around the rally
The Gazelles of 511 (Marie SEPCHAT / Nathalie BABUT), aboard an electric Méhari, both work in the renewable energy sector. So it clearly made sense for them to choose an electric vehicle for the Rallye. They want to show that many things are possible in electric vehicles. Their single-minded objective: to win!
One is from Aix-en-Provence, the other from Bézier. Both are married and have children, who are extremely proud of them. Nathalie’s daughter, who attended the verifications, is bubbling with happiness: “They’re going to win, for sure! Mum already did the rally in 2015 and Marie is a cartographer, she knows how to read maps, I have so much confidence in them!”
The Rallye requires a certain level of physical fitness, and to help them prepare, Marie and Nathalie did a lot of hiking, jogging and paddle boarding. These activities are sure to help them tackle the difficult conditions of the Moroccan desert!
