Virginie and Dorothée, from simple teammates to wedding witness

The two Gazelles of Team 35 (Dorothée LANGLOIS / Virginie HENRIOT)hadn’t intended to do this 30th edition together… yet here they are! Fate brought Virginie and Dorothée together eighteen months ago, just days before the initial départ initial de March 2020. “My teammate had a medical problem nine days before the start, and I had to find a Gazelle at the last minute. It happened to be Virginie”, recalls Dorothée. As for Virginie, after a first rally in an electric vehicle, she would discover the joys of SSV.

“I had been completely hooked on the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc since doing it in 2019. After I got home, I told myself that I simply had to go back. I was planning to do the 31st edition, so I’m thrilled to be able to go sooner”, explains the Gazelle. “The good thing about the postponement is that we had time to get to know each other and became super good friends. She was even a witness at my wedding”, says Dorothée.

“We didn’t know each other at all, but we realized that we are very similar in many ways. We’re both very positive and we have lots of drive”, adds Virginie. Their objective for their first rally together: to enjoy themselves with “a vehicle that can go everywhere”.
