The marathon leg upsets the rankings

Leg 4
The two days of the marathon leg have reshuffled the deck for the general rankings, where 4×4 Class is now dominated by Régine and Tania of Team 216 (Tania LIO / Régine ZBINDEN), who finish Leg 4 with 18.43 km. Carine and Francine of Team 163 (Carine RANDIN / Francine GUIGNARD)enter the Top 3 with 22.08 km over the ideal distance, ahead of Team 267 (Jeanette JAMES / Rachelle GRESLE). The competition is tight: just 670 metres separate the teams in 2nd and 5th positions! In the general rankings, Jeanette and Rachelle drop a spot while Julie and Sophie of Team 143 (Julie KOHLMANN / Sophie FABRI)take 3rd place.
In 4×4 First Participation, novices Cendrine and Pauline of Team 223 (Cendrine AZZOPARDI / Pauline CHAPPAZ)once again claim the top spot for the leg with 22.75 km over the ideal distance, which allows them to climb into 10th position in the general ranking!
No big surprises in SSV/Quad Class, where Betty and Sonia of Team 39 (Betty KRAFT / Sonia BAUDOIN-GUERARD)once again win the leg. The quad team is followed by Delphine and France of Team 47 (Delphine BICHOFFE / France CLEVES). Catherine and Hélène of Team 21 (Catherine KERAMIDAS / Hélène LEMAITRE) close out the Top 3 for Leg 4. In the general ranking, the top 3 teams remain the same.
In Crossover Class, Hajar and Malika of Team 306 (Hajar EL BIED / Malika AJAHA)put in a good performance and hold on to top spot in the general ranking, finishing with 50.33 km over the ideal distance over the two days of the marathon leg. Valérie and Emmanuelle of Team 304 (Valérie SANTINI / Emmanuelle GIRAUD-BUSSAT) follow them by just 3.05 km. In the general ranking, some thirty km separate these two teams, who have a good lead over Team 308 (Adeline DROUIN / Karima BENOUARET BENZID)after the latter was penalized for mechanical assistance on Leg 3.
In E-Gazelle Class, the marathon leg consolidates the top spot in the general ranking for Manal and Karolyn of Team 500 (Manal FAXELLE-ABOUHAMDA / Karolyn FAVREAU), who are once again the only team to complete the leg without mechanical assistance. Madjouline and Jessica of Team 505 (Majdouline FAHIM / Jessica GOISNARD)finish far behind them with 159.72 km over the ideal distance, trailed by Aïcha and Kitty of Team 512 (Aïcha SOSTARIC / Kitty DUQUESNE)with 321.59 km. Sophie and Nadjette of Team 509 (Sophie QUERO / Nadjette GUIDOUM)hold on to second place in the general ranking despite a difficult marathon leg.
Among the electric buggies, the marathon leg proves fatal for Armelle and Yolande, who drop to third place for the leg and also in the general ranking. The Gazelles finish with 590.83 km, far behind Agnès and Marie of Team 600 (Marie BELINGARD / Agnès MOSSINA), who finish with 40.56 km and take top spot in the general ranking. Second place goes to Nahide and Marta of Team 601 (Marta PARDO / Nahide ENNAM).
