Wrapping up the 30th edition with a second marathon leg

Leg 6
This morning, the Gazelles will leave with a small bottle of Tsarine champagne to toast their exploits this evening in the dunes! Leg 6 features 10 checkpoint with an ideal distance of 225 kilometres.
This marathon leg includes an optional X route through the Chegaga dunes. Gazelles in AUTO/TRUCK Class who choose Route X will head for CP5X after their CP4.
Teams in QUAD/SSV are required to do Route X.
CROSSOVER/HYBRID, E-GAZELLE AUTO and E-GAZELLE BUGGY/PROTOTYPE teams have their own route outside the largest dunes.
A team that reaches all the CPs of Route X will be penalized only for the extra kilometres driven over the crow-flies distance.
A team that completes a “classic” route (not Route X) will be penalized an additional 120 km on top of their distance penalty.
